Facebook Much?

The day after the wedding, I logged into my email to check in before we left the next day for our honeymoon. And I thought I got a lot of FB posts on my birthday... check this out.

(click to make bigger... this is impossible to read!)

Leave it to Facebook to make me feel extra-loved :)

The always-fun Mary Beth has been staying over all weekend. It's a slumber party straight out of sixth grade. We busted out the KitchenAid for its maiden voyage and made a cake that tastes more like a crepe (I'm still working on perfecting my kitchen skills). The best part is that MB has helped us unpack and get things settled at home. She took on the piles of boxes I have been ignoring for months, and forced me to give all kinds of stuff to Good Will/the trash can (what do you mean I can't keep this planner from 2005-2006?!). It's been a good weekend. I'll have to post some before and after pics soon!

Post Bride Diet

Here's how my day has gone so far today:

Wake up, shower, get dressed, eat a big ol' bowl of Cheerios with some strawberries

Drive into work with Mark. Arrive an hour early, so swing by the McD's drive thru for a large Diet Dr. Pepper

Get to work. Someone brought bagels. Eat 1/2 plain bagel and 1/2 chocolate chip bagel.

Around 9ish, stroll into the break room. Oh what's this? Chocolate chip cookies? Don't mind if I do. Eat one.

11ish, grab a 100 calorie bag of shortbread cookies. It's only 100 calories, right? Hmm. I might grab this bag of Chex Mix too. And what the heck, another Diet DP as well.

Noon. There's lunch provided during that training meeting? Awesome. Get a scoop each of pasta salad, potato salad and cole slaw. Grab a bag of chips and one mini brownie.

OMG. This potato salad is fab. Add another scoop to my plate.

Head back to the food.. more potato and pasta salad. Have another Diet Coke while I'm at it.

True story. This day is only half way over too. Who knows what else I'll stuff my face with? One thing that past two weeks has not included is any trips to the gym, strolls with the dog or even long walks to the car (parking in a garage that is attached to your house officially ROCKS).

I'm not really looking forward to trying on my jeans in a couple months. Eh.

The Real World

I can't believe the wedding is over. In the past. No longer looming in front of me, x days away. In fact, it was 12 days ago. How did that happen?? I'm back at work now, and want to write up some updates on how things went. So that's in the works.

In the meantime, here are some of the amazing portraits Mary Beth took of me during the week before the wedding. We took these on July 4, at the spot where Mark proposed in McKinney. I had had a pretty rough morning, as my mom was in her The-Wedding-Is-One-Week-Away-So-Let's-Freak-Out mode, but we sucked it up, put on some make-up and went trekking around the golf course and surrounding areas. I think the came out perfectly.

Too Good Not to Share

I got a fun little package in the mail today from Heather Is Crafty, a pretty fantastic Etsy seller. She made us 1,000 adorable little buttons to pass out at the reception. I am sooo oooooo excited for these!

Cameo by the e-ring :)

My Last Monday at Work as a Single Gal

wooooooooo! That's the thought that got me out of bed when the alarm went off this A.M.

And how precious is this? If I had about 28 more little girls in my family, I would totally rock this. Adorable.

From Southern Weddings. One of my favs.

Happy Monday to all!

Sunday Sevens

1. We have a first dance song. Finally.

2. My dad wants to dance to three songs for the Father Daughter Dance. So now I am trying to splice these three together. It reminds me of my drill team days... splicing songs.

3. Did you know there is a new Baby Sitter Club book?!? It just came out in April and it's a prequel to the series. O. M. Geeeee. I will have to grab this one.

4. Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays. Who knew? Guess I'm heading to Michael's today!

5. I ate four bowls of Honey Nut Cheerios yesterday.

6. In four days, we'll be able to officially check the weather for the wedding day. I don't think I'll even bother.. I'm pretty sure it's going to be HOT.

7. I'm off to Mark's office for the afternoon. He's working, so I figured I'd keep him company and work on programs from there!

Happy end of the weekend!

Details, Details, Details...

I just got back from Hobby Lobby (yes, again) where all their frames were half off! Woo! So I grabbed me a bunch and set out to make some little signs to set out at the wedding. Remember where I was self-teaching myself Adobe Illustrator? Well I finally figured out how to add some text and then how to save a file as a PDF, so I'm in business now. I'll just sneak some of these out on the office printer tomorrow and we'll be in business!

This sign will be for our favors. Which just might be my most favorite part of the wedding. I used the template my sister made for the invitations, so everything matches. Imagine that! It's like I do this stuff on purpose or something...
